Responsibilities

  • Oversee preparation of financial statements in line with IFRS/GAAP.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Supervise A/P and A/R functions and ensure timeliness and compliance.
  • Oversee cash management, forecasting, and liquidity planning.
  • Ensure SOX controls and other regulatory standards are followed.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for strategic decisions and budgeting.
  • Implement and maintain Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero to streamline operations.
  • Support internal and external audits as needed.
  • Lead technical accounting projects including payroll and complex transactions.

In this role, you will oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. Duties
  • Manage and oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
  • Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee cash management activities, including forecasting, liquidity management, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and other regulatory standards relevant to governmental or non-profit accounting.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making and budgeting processes.

  • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero is essential.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements for governmental or non-profit organizations.
  • Excellent understanding of financial concepts including account reconciliation, general ledger management, and technical accounting principles.
  • Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with effective communication abilities to convey complex financial information clearly.
