Mayson James in Northwest Indiana is seeking a Corporate Controller to own the accounting function and lead a hands-on, scalable finance team as the business grows. You\'ll report to the CFO, manage month-, quarter-, and year-end closes, consolidations, treasury, tax, audits, and build strong controls while partnering with FP&A and operations.

Relocation support is offered for the right candidate; the role combines in‑office work four days a week with one remote day, and a path to shaping

Formación

• 10+ years' accounting experience, including leading teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel.
• Experience with borrowing base reporting and lender relationships is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Review reconciliations, analyze trial balances, and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare internal and external financial statements for owners, banks and lenders.
• Own day-to-day banking relationships and weekly cash flow forecasting.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and third-party examinations.
• Manage lease financing schedules and liaise with finance providers.
• Support ERP enhancements and drive process improvements.

Mayson James is partnering with a fast-growing, recently private equity-backed business in Northwest Indiana to appoint a Corporate Controller. Working closely with the CFO, you'll take full ownership of the accounting function in a hands‑on leadership role, with a genuine opportunity to shape the team, processes and systems as the business scales.

The Role

You’ll lead all aspects of accounting and act as a trusted partner to FP&A, operational managers and the executive team. Key responsibilities include:

• Full ownership and team leadership across reporting, controlling, group consolidations, AP, AR, fixed assets, tax, treasury and audit
• Leading the global month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close, including accruals, equity roll forwards and revenue recognition, with strong controls in place
• Reviewing and approving all reconciliations, analyzing monthly trial balances and maintaining the general ledger and chart of accounts
• Preparing internal and external financial statements for owners, banks and lenders
• Owning day‑to‑day banking relationships, including borrowing base submissions (AR and inventory) and weekly cash flow forecasting
• Coordinating the annual consolidated audit and income tax filing, plus third‑party audits (field exams, insurance, property tax) and appraisals
• Managing lease financing schedules and acting as the main contact for lease finance providers
• Supporting the annual insurance renewal process
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP and the requirements of lenders, private contributions and government contracts
• Driving efficiency through process improvement and automation, and supporting ERP enhancements and upgrades
• Partnering with the Payroll Manager to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

Experience & Qualifications

• 10+ years' accounting experience, including leading teams
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving ability
• Intermediate to advanced Excel
• Experience with borrowing base reporting and lender relationships is highly desirable.

*** This role is based in Northwest Indiana and operate 4 days in the office, 1 remote. With this in mind, my client would offer a relocation package for the successful candidate.
