Job summary

Lawyers on Demand, a Consilio Company, is assisting a software organization in seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Attorney to support its legal, compliance, and privacy functions on a fully remote basis.

Start date is ASAP for a 6-month engagement, full-time at 40 hours per week. Compensation starts at $120 hourly, dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Compliance Attorney or Compliance Professional with a strong background in corporate compliance.
• Experience with policy development and implementation, particularly company-wide policies.
• Knowledge of data privacy and regulatory compliance matters.
• Experience supporting privacy, compliance, or governance programs.
• Strong ability to manage and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced technology environment.
• Commercial contracts experience is strongly preferred given the scope of the role.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and revise commercial agreements and related legal documentation.
• Develop, update, and maintain company-wide compliance policies and procedures.
• Support data privacy and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and address legal and compliance considerations.
• Provide guidance on corporate compliance requirements and applicable regulatory matters.
• Assist with the implementation and ongoing management of privacy and compliance programs.
• Translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical policies, procedures, and business practices.
• Collaborate with internal business teams to ensure policies and compliance processes are effectively implemented.
