Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, or a related field.
• Junior-year student, seeking practical experience in corporate communications.
• GPA at least 3.0; related coursework preferred.
• Experience with business-style writing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with internal and external communications campaigns and projects.
• Maintain intranet content and support site admins.
• Draft communications and collaborate with Marketing & Communications team to achieve goals.

**This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule from the Des Moines metro**

Essential Functions:

• Summer full-time paid internship working alongside the Corporate Communications Manager and others within the Marketing & Communications department

• Assists with internal and external communications campaigns and projects, including working with business partners to assess needs, drafting communications and working with Marketing & Communications team members as needed to accomplish goals

• Assists with maintenance of our intranet, implementing strategic changes, supporting site admins from our business units, and building/publishing content

• Supports the larger Marketing & Communications department by performing other work as assigned, including project coordination, copywriting and proofreading

Education & Experience:

• Major in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field

• Completion of junior year

• Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher

• Related coursework required

• Experience with business‑style writing preferred
