Job summary

EMC Insurance seeks a Summer Full-Time Paid Intern to join the Corporate Communications team in Des Moines. You will gain hands-on experience across internal and external communications campaigns and content development.

You will support intranet maintenance, content publishing, copywriting and proofreading, and coordinate projects with business partners. This internship offers mentorship, competitive benefits, and exposure to a professional marketing environment.

Qualifications

• Major in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Completion of junior year.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
• Related coursework required.
• Experience with business-style writing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Summer full-time paid internship working alongside the Corporate Communications Manager and others within the Marketing & Communications department.
• Assists with internal and external communications campaigns and projects, including working with business partners to assess needs, drafting communications and working with Marketing & Communications team members as needed to accomplish goals.
• Assists with maintenance of our intranet, implementing strategic changes, supporting site admins from our business units, and building/publishing content.
• Supports the larger Marketing & Communications department by performing other work as assigned, including project coordination, copywriting and proofreading.
