Job summary

Grand Street Settlement Cornerstone Program Assistant Directors are responsible for leading and supervising NYCHA Community Center programming across youth and adult participants, ensuring high-quality services and innovative activities. Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent of 5+ years in youth services
• Experience supervising staff (1+ years)
• Budget, contract and grant management experience
• Knowledge of DYCD programming regulations and DYCD online
• Strong public speaking, writing and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership and strategic direction to two program staff
• Support orientation and evaluation of program staff for center-based after school programs
• Supervise program staff to meet goals and performance targets
• Recruit participants and retention strategies using DYCD tools
• Liaise with school administration, parents and community entities
• Mentor and develop staff through regular coaching and meetings
• Set standards for quality youth development programming
• Engage community residents and partners to support needs
• Develop at least 3 new partners per year
• Plan quarterly community events and workshops
• Coordinate CACFP Food Program documentation and reporting
• Manage facilities and program space in collaboration with NYCHA/DYCD
