Job summary

Mercy Health - Clermont Hospital seeks an experienced Lab Manager to oversee all clinical laboratory services at designated sites and coordinate patient care activities, driving quality initiatives and ensuring compliant policies.

The role requires MLS/ASCP certification, a Bachelor's in a related field, at least 5 years in a lab with leadership experience, and strong communication to lead cross-team collaboration within Mercy Health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Biology, or Biochemistry (required)
• MLS or ASCP Certification (required)
• 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting (required)
• Previous leadership experience in a laboratory tech environment (required)

Responsibilities

• Oversee laboratory operations and establish objectives related to quality metrics; monitor quality indicators and submit monthly reports
• Manage laboratory department including hiring, staffing, scheduling, and onboarding of new employees
• Evaluate the performance of department staff and complete performance assessments
• Coordinate regional laboratory committees and implement new procedures
• Monitor laboratory expenses to meet budgetary goals and assist in forecasting and budgeting
