firsthand Health is looking for a Peer Recovery Specialist, also known as a Core Guide, in Vancouver, Washington. This role involves conducting outreach to individuals living with serious mental illness (SMI) and supporting them in achieving and maintaining wellness. The ideal candidate will have personal experience with recovery and the ability to connect with individuals in need.

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, building trust with clients, and facilitating access to necessary resources. Strong communication skills and empathy are crucial in this role, which aims to empower individuals on their wellness journey.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with SMI and/or SUD.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive.
• Two years of recovery time from mental health or substance abuse disorder.
• Experience with direct outreach for individuals with SMI and SUD.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to individuals with SMI.
• Support health needs by scheduling appointments.
• Build trust and relationships with individuals.
• Assist with care coordination and advocacy.
