Qualifications

• Lived experience with SMI and/or SUD is essential.
• Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct community outreach to individuals with SMI.
• Support health needs by scheduling appointments and taking vitals.
• Build trust and relationships by empowering individuals.

Skills

Empathy, compassion, and approachability

Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills

Personal knowledge of recovery

Comfort working collaboratively within multidisciplinary team

Education

State Peer Recovery certification

Two years recovery time from a mental health and/or substance abuse disorder

Tools

Basic proficiency with smartphone and computer technology
