firsthand in the United States is seeking a Core Guide (Peer Recovery Specialist) to engage individuals living with SMI, schedule appointments, advocate for needs, and connect them to services. You will partner with clinicians to support whole health and document encounters across care teams.

This role requires lived experience, a state peer recovery certification or willingness to obtain it within six months, and a valid driver's license with travel eligibility. Join a mission-driven team today.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with SMI and/or SUD.
• State Peer Recovery certification, or eligibility and willingness to obtain within six months.
• Valid driver's license in good standing and ability to operate a vehicle.
• Proficiency with email, messaging services, and apps.
• Two years of recovered experience from mental health and/or substance use disorder.

Responsabilités

• Conduct community outreach to individuals with SMI in homes and community settings.
• Schedule appointments and ensure clinical visits are attended and completed.
• Build trust and empower individuals to pursue recovery goals.
• Serve as primary contact using advanced engagement techniques to maintain connection.
• Assist with care coordination, advocate for goals, accompany to appointments, address post-discharge needs.
• Document encounters timely and participate in case reviews and team collaboration.
• Perform ongoing telephonic outreach and engage in professional development.
