Job summary

Kitsap Credit Union is hiring a Core Programmer Analyst II to work hybrid from our Bremerton, WA office. You will apply subject-matter expertise on the core banking platform, analyze daily operations, perform maintenance, and program jobs on the core banking system.

The role requires strong UNIX/AIX and mainframe skills, plus familiarity with HTML, SQL, JavaScript, and PowerShell. You will support disaster recovery and collaborate with vendors and business units to deliver reliable core

Qualifications

• Associate-level or technical two-year degree in a field related to data processing or a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent education.
• Five years of experience with core mainframe systems.
• Five years of UNIX and AIX experience.
• Five years as a system programmer analyst.
• Two years of HTML, SQL, JavaScript, and PowerShell experience.
• Five years of experience with mainframe backup and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, update system jobs, schedules, reports, and procedures to comply with operational solutions.
• Monitor core databases for data quality, efficiency, reliability, and performance.
• Recommend enhancements in process or performance.
• Research and implement new core provider solutions requested by management.
• Test and install software releases and hardware/firmware updates.
• Provide second-level technical support for Core related tickets.
• Provide 24x7 on-call system support on a rotation basis.
