Western Union is hiring a Software Solutions Engineer, Core Bank, in Miami, FL. You will implement core digital banking and wallet solutions and respond to banking enhancements and issues, ensuring rapid delivery across regions and channels.

You will work in a hybrid environment, interfacing with distributed teams, and applying deep knowledge of Core Banking systems, API integrations, and modern SaaS platforms to drive world‑class customer experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Core Banking engineering function or FinTech equivalent.
• Experience implementing and customizing Core Bank systems with cloud SaaS platforms.
• Hands-on experience with banking systems and BaaS landscape.
• Strong capabilities in architecture, design, and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Develop core banking solutions and enhancements in the assigned region.
• Assess business needs and provide creative solutions compliant with tech standards.
• Plan, delegate, and execute with disciplined project management.
• Collaborate with distributed development centers.
• Focus on customer journey, product quality, performance, and troubleshooting.
• Develop domain expertise to solve product challenges.
• Estimate engineering efforts and rollout cross-region initiatives.
