Job summary

UF Health St. Johns in Saint Augustine, FL, seeks a skilled surgical scheduler to support operations across locations. Under healthcare leadership, you will coordinate scheduling for clinic physicians and ensure continuity of care for surgical patients.

You will act as liaison between the department and other surgical and financial areas, applying administrative policies to optimize workflows. A high school diploma and 1 year of healthcare scheduling experience are required; CPC certification

Qualifications

Utilizes appropriate administrative, financial and operational policies and procedures to facilitate continuity of care for the surgical patient. Acts as liaison between the department and other surgical and financial areas.

• Necessary Skills:1. Demonstrated knowledge of specialty surgical procedures with associated acuity levels and specialized equipment, ancillary services and staffing needs.
• Required Experience:1 year of experience scheduling in a healthcare environment required.
• Preferred Experience:Experience in electronic surgical scheduling program a plus.
• Required Licensure/Certifications:CPC (Certified Procedural Coder) certification required within 12 months of hire or transfer.
