Job summary

The West Boise YMCA, part of Treasure Valley Family YMCA, is seeking a Membership Coordinator to manage membership services and engagement activities with a friendly, service-oriented approach.

You will supervise staff, recruit volunteers, and work closely with leadership to ensure high-quality member experiences and programs. The role requires strong communication and confidentiality in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain professional communication with staff and members.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including telephone etiquette and computer use.
• Prior experience supervising staff and volunteers is preferred.
• Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Director to ensure department operations align with LeadingPractices.
• Supervise staff, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, scheduling and development.
• Recruit and manage volunteers per current policies and guidelines.
• Engage members to deepen relationships with the Y mission and programs.
• Participate in team meetings and committees as assigned; keep staff informed of offerings.

Description

Our West Boise YMCA is seeking a Membership Coordinator to join the team! This position is responsible for creating a friendly, helpful, positive atmosphere for everyone who enters the Y through supervising assigned staff and by managing membership services and engagement activities.

Serving over 20,000 active youth, adult, and family members, the West Branch of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA helps members lead a healthier, happier life. Facility amenities and features include six fitness studios, three racquetball courts, full-court basketball gym, youth activity center, climbing wall, 50-meter swimming pool, and training pool.

Schedule

This is a full-time position at 40 hours weekly with benefits! Schedule requirement is Monday through Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Director to ensure department operations are consistent with approved LeadingPractices.
• Supervise staff, including hiring, onboarding, role-modeling, and coaching, scheduling and on-goingdevelopment.
• Recruits and manages volunteers as needed per current Volunteer Policies and Guidelines.
• Engage members to deepen their relationships in the Y cause.
• Actively participates in team meetings and committees as assigned.
• Assist Director with staff meetings to keep staff advised and informed of all program offerings,class scheduling, membership changes, policies, etc.
• Responsible for enrollment of members, payment for all services, membership financial assistance, and member services and engagement activities.
• Conduct interviews with potential members, as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent human relations skills and an ability to maintain position communication with staff and members.
• Ability to address and make solid decision in emergency situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including telephone etiquette and computer use.
• Prior experience of successful supervisor of staff and volunteer preferred.
• Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulatewhen dealing with others.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
