Job summary

Bally's Corporation in Chicago is seeking an HR Associate to support employee engagement, onboarding, and HR operations in a casino environment. The role focuses on fostering a team-centric culture, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with Illinois Gaming Board licensing requirements.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree, has 2 years of HR-related experience, and is proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (UKG).

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board.
  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • Two years of HR, communications, administrative, or related experience required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems; UKG experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Support internal communications by creating, editing, and distributing content through email, the company intranet, digital messaging platforms, newsletters, and employee announcements.
  • Assist in the development and execution of employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, company events, and culture-building activities.
  • Coordinate recruiting and onboarding activities, including job postings, candidate communication, new hire orientation, and enhancing the overall new hire experience.
  • Process employee transactions, maintain accurate records within the HRIS, and ensure the integrity of employee data.
  • Assist with HR compliance activities, including Illinois Gaming Board licensing, policy administration, record keeping, and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate training and development programs while providing administrative support for HR initiatives and projects.
  • Build positive working relationships with employees at all levels, maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, and serve as a resource for team member questions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation
  • Target Salary Range: $25.00/hr

Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and use a computer and other office equipment. Frequently required to use hands and arms to reach, handle, and operate office equipment.
  • Occasionally required to bend, stoop, and lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to move throughout the property to support HR operations, team member events, onboarding activities, and recruiting efforts.
  • Work is performed in an office and casino environment and may include exposure to bright lights, elevated noise levels, and occasional stressful situations.
