About the role
Responsibilities:
- Foster an environment that embodies Bally's Born to Entertain philosophy by creating a fun, engaging, and team member-focused atmosphere.
- Promote Bally's customer-centric culture by delivering exceptional service to both guests and team members.
- Support internal communications by creating, editing, and distributing content through email, the company intranet, digital messaging platforms, newsletters, and employee announcements.
- Assist in the development and execution of employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, company events, and culture-building activities.
- Coordinate recruiting and onboarding activities, including job postings, candidate communication, new hire orientation, and enhancing the overall new hire experience.
- Process employee transactions, maintain accurate records within the HRIS, and ensure the integrity of employee data.
- Assist with HR compliance activities, including Illinois Gaming Board licensing, policy administration, record keeping, and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate training and development programs while providing administrative support for HR initiatives and projects.
- Build positive working relationships with employees at all levels, maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, and serve as a resource for team member questions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation:
- Target Salary Range: $25.00/hr

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and use a computer and other office equipment. Frequently required to use hands and arms to reach, handle, and operate office equipment.
- Occasionally required to bend, stoop, and lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to move throughout the property to support HR operations, team member events, onboarding activities, and recruiting efforts.
- Work is performed in an office and casino environment and may include exposure to bright lights, elevated noise levels, and occasional stressful situations.

Role requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board.
- Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Two years of HR, communications, administrative, or related experience required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems; UKG experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
