Job summary

Levain Bakery in Boston is hiring a Shift Lead (Cookie Lead) to oversee shifts, support bakery operations, and supervise team members across retail, baking production, and cleaning.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service, excellent communication, reliability, and the ability to coach staff while maintaining Levain’s standards.

The role offers hourly pay from $21.25 to $24.25 plus tips, quarterly bonus potential, and benefits including health coverage, PTO, and a company 401K.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of food service, QSR, or retail experience, with 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred (depending on location)
• Open availability: mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift/push 25-50 pounds
• Stand/walk for an 8-hour shift; some locations require stairs
• Read and communicate in English, both verbally and in writing; basic computer skills
• Must have valid DOH Certification & additional regional required food handlers’ certifications

• Open/close the bakery; act as keyholder and oversee cash handling
• Maintain cleanliness and manage weekly inventory checks and deliveries
