Job summary

Four Chaplains Nursing Care Center is seeking an in-house cook to prepare meals that meet quality and safety standards. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to review menus, portion meals, and ensure sanitary procedures are followed.

You will earn $18.85 per hour as a starting wage, with a history of yearly increases and hero pay to support our EPIC team. We offer best-in-class benefits, including tuition reimbursement, medical with low cost, PTO, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience in food service in healthcare or related facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following guidelines and regulations.
• Coordinate food production to align with meal serving times.
• Assist with tray line setup and plate assembly.
• Assist with daily kitchen cleaning and sanitation tasks.
• Promote hospitality and excellent service to guests, families, and visitors.

We can work with your scheduling needs:

• 8 hour shiftswith rotating weekends and some holidays
• Part Time - Flex Shift will rotate Days and Afternoon shifts:
  • 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
  • 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM
  • 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM
• No late nights!

How you will help people every day:

• You will prepare meals following all necessary guidelines and regulations
• You will coordinate food production to coincide with meal serving times ensuring excellence in quality, temperature and appearance are achieved
• You may assist with tray line setup and plate assembly
• You will assist with daily cleaning requirements in the kitchen
• You will promote hospitality and excellent customer service in our every daily interaction with our guests, their families, and visitors. Through kind words and encouragement, you will promote a positive, healthy environment in which to heal and thrive.

What you will need to be part of ourEPICteam:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18+
• Basic Computer Skills
• At least 2 years of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility, with strong knowledge of food procedures. Experience in a Long Term Care facility is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!
