Job summary

The Cook at Trinity Services Group is responsible for preparing a variety of food items in a jail/correctional facility, following recipes and safety guidelines. You will manage your station, work with a kitchen team, and ensure dishes are produced promptly.

Requires at least 1 year of cooking experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, and a high school diploma or GED. On-site work with comprehensive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; must be 18+.
• One year cooking experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand long shifts.
• Experience in cafeteria/large volume food service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Follow recipes and guidelines to prepare hot and cold items.
• Maintain food safety and proper labeling and rotation.
• Open and close checklists; report to the Food Service Director.
• Work with team to serve dishes promptly.
• Adapt to changes and assist other stations as needed.
