Koelsch Communities is hiring a Cook for The Park at University Village. This full-time role offers a day shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, including Saturdays and Sundays, with pay ranging from $20 to $22 per hour depending on experience.

You will prepare and serve attractive meals, ensure proper food handling, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen while supporting residents with high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Food handlers certificate required per state regulations.
• Knowledge of food preparation, production and plate presentation.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious, appetizing meals per menu and schedule.
• Properly store, date, and rotate food; follow food handling guidelines.
• Maintain a safe, clean kitchen; follow cleaning schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What You'll Do

• Ensure food is prepared in a nutritional, appetizing fashion, and presented in an attractive manner per the menu and schedule
• Properly store, date, and rotate food per food handling guidelines
• Keep the environment safe and clean
• Follow kitchen cleaning schedule
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• All requirements related to the food handlers’ certificate per state requirements
• Knowledge of food preparation, production and plate presentation
• Must be drug-free and submit to a drug screening upon hire and routinely
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
• Knowledge of special dietary needs
