The Gardens at West Shore in Camp Hill, PA seeks an experienced Cook Supervisor to join our dietary team and oversee kitchen operations. You will prepare meals to therapeutic diets, supervise staff, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.

This full-time role requires ServSafe certification and prior supervisory experience. Weekend rotation applies, and comprehensive benefits are included.

Formación

• ServSafe certification is required.
• Minimum 2 years of large-scale cooking experience.
• Supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals per recipes and dietary needs.
• Bake rolls, cookies, cakes, and other baked goods.
• Assist on tray line during service for proper presentation.
• Oversee sanitation of kitchen and equipment cleanliness.
• Supervise dining services staff in leadership absences.
• Use census and menu extensions to portion and plan meals.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation.
• Make resident-focused decisions for best interests.
• Manage kitchen operations in absence of Food Service Director.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Cook Supervisor - Full-Time

The Gardens at West Shore | Camp Hill, PA

Schedule: 7:00 AM-3:00 PM | Every Other Weekend

The Gardens at West Shore is seeking an experienced Cook Supervisor to join our skilled nursing facility in Camp Hill, PA.

The Cook Supervisor works alongside the dietary team to prepare meals, maintain kitchen operations, and supervise dietary staff while ensuring all food service functions follow established dietary, safety, and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to standardized recipes and therapeutic dietary requirements

• Bake rolls, cookies, cakes, pies, and other baked goods

• Work on the tray line during meal service, ensuring proper presentation and consistency

• Oversee kitchen sanitation, including cleaning and washing/sanitizing pots, pans, and equipment

• Supervise dining services staff in the absence of the Food Service Director or other dietary leadership

• Use census and menu extensions to prepare meals in appropriate quantities and consistencies

• Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness

• Make responsible decisions with the best interests of residents in mind

• Manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Food Service Director

• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification required

• Previous management or supervisory experience preferred

• Minimum 2 years of large-scale cooking experience

• Strong understanding of therapeutic food preparation

• Ability to perform physical duties associated with the position

• Strong teamwork, customer service, and communication skills

• Ability to work every other weekend
