Job summary

Myerstown Nursing and Rehab in Myerstown, PA is hiring a Cook to assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of meals in accordance with planned menus and portion control.

You will work with the Dietary Department to ensure nutritious meals for residents, follow safety and sanitation standards, and operate kitchen equipment safely in a full-time role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year of dining services experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Culinary school training preferred.

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

Myerstown Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our skilled nursing facility in Myerstown, PA.

In this role, you will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in accordance with planned menus and established portion control procedures while ensuring residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals.

Responsibilities

  • Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours.
  • Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.
  • Prepare meals according to regular, therapeutic, and special diet orders.
