Alterra Mountain Company’s Schweitzer resort in Sandpoint, ID is hiring a Cook for Sam’s Alley this winter season. You’ll prepare pizzas and sandwiches, ensure quality and food safety, and assist as a cashier when needed in a fast-paced guest environment.

Ideal candidates bring kitchen experience, Idaho Food Safety Certification, and a friendly, team-focused attitude; training is provided. This seasonal role offers benefits and opportunities within a growing alpine community.

Positive, outgoing, and energetic individuals who are willing to learn, practice and exemplify the Schweitzer culture of hospitality and teamwork while working in a fun, fast paced environment.**Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities**:* Prepare and assemble pizzas and sandwiches using kitchen equipment, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to food safety standards.* Maintain proper food handling practices, including storage, rotation, and presentation, in compliance with health codes and kitchen procedures.* Operate as a cashier when needed, handling basic monetary transactions and providing friendly, efficient service to guests.* Collaborate closely with the Kitchen Supervisor and team members to uphold Schweitzer’s culture of hospitality, teamwork, and a positive work environment. **Specific Job Skills**:License/Certifications- Idaho Food Safety Certification (training provided)Technical- Cooking Skills/Basic kitchen skills preferred, computer and point of sale experience preferredPhysical Capabilities- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
