Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company in Sandpoint, ID seeks a seasonal cashier to process transactions at Sam's Alley. You will operate a cash register, handle payments, and maintain front-area cleanliness while assisting with restocking and kitchen tasks as needed.

The role requires basic math, English reading/writing skills, and Idaho Food Safety Certification (training provided). On-site duties in a fast-paced cafe environment with tips and seasonal hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and handle transactions including processing payments, handling cash, and balancing the register.
• Monitor and maintain efficient line speed and provide excellent guest service at the register.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain proper stock rotation in the front.
• Bus and clean tables.
• Run food to guests.
• Keep the front area clean, organized, and well-stocked to meet health and safety standards.
• Assist other café team members with various tasks during slow periods as needed.
• Will help with prep work. Must be willing to step into any kitchen role.
