Job summary

The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe seeks a Cook Prep to support the Café, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria, and Banquets. You will prep cold foods, shellfish, and meats, and craft beverages with precision, speed, and style.

In a fast-paced kitchen, you’ll follow standardized recipes, maintain cleanliness, and collaborate with a team to deliver high-quality, visually appealing dishes for diverse service areas.

You thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, whipping up high-quality meals for the Café, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria, and Banquets with precision and flair. From prepping cold foods and shellfish to slicing meats and brewing the perfect cup of coffee or tea, you’ve got the skills to keep things delicious and efficient. With a sharp eye for detail and a passion for teamwork, you help create crave-worthy dishes while keeping the kitchen vibe upbeat and service-oriented.

KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Kitchen Time Ninja: Stay ahead of the rush by prepping stations and ingredients efficiently, keeping service smooth during Café and Room Service hours.
• Detail Defender: Stick to the recipe, keep your space spotless, and follow all sanitation and safety guidelines like a true kitchen pro.
• Communication & Collaboration: Share ideas, solve problems, and keep cool under pressure. You’re a team player who thrives in the heat of the kitchen.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent, and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Food Handlers Certification as per state requirements.
