Preston House, operated by Navion Senior Solutions, seeks a part-time Cook to help prepare and serve meals for residents. You will join a caring team and contribute to a welcoming dining experience, ensuring high quality service and adherence to safety standards. The role partners with Tapcheck for instant access to earned wages.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a culinary apprenticeship or training, and relevant food prep experience. CPR/First-Aid is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must maintain ServSafe or complete sanitation training.
• High school diploma or GED required; culinary training preferred.
• 1 year related experience in food prep or therapeutic diets.
• 3 years in healthcare/ hospitality or service environment preferred.
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred.

• Maintains a current ServSafe certificate (food services sanitation certificate) or able to participate in the food services sanitation training to become ServSafe certified
• High School diploma or GED accepted
• A culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred
• One (1) year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and therapeutic diets
• Must be 16 years or older. In NC, must be 18 years or older if operating power-driven machines such as a meat slicer, mixer, etc.
• Three years’ experience in a healthcare, hospitality or service environment preferred
• Culinary arts experience preferred
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment
