Job summary

Dalton Square is seeking a Cook to prepare delicious meals, work with a caring team, and create a welcoming dining experience for residents. This full-time role focuses on fresh, appealing dishes and high-quality service that makes a positive impact on those we serve.

Candidates should have ServSafe or be willing to obtain certification, a high school diploma or GED, and relevant culinary training or apprenticeship. Prior food prep and healthcare/hospitality experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certificate required or able to participate in training to become certified.
• High School diploma or GED accepted.
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
• One year of job-related experience including food preparation and menu items.
• Must be 16+ (18+ for operating power-driven machines in some cases).
• Three years’ experience in healthcare, hospitality or service environment preferred.
• Culinary arts experience preferred.
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred.
• Ability to work in a resident-care environment and promote teamwork.

• Maintains a current ServSafe certificate (food services sanitation certificate) or able to participate in the food services sanitation training to become ServSafe certified
• High School diploma or GED accepted

• One (1) year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and therapeutic diets
• Must be 16 years or older. In NC, must be 18 years or older if operating power-driven machines such as a meat slicer, mixer, etc.
• Three years’ experience in a healthcare, hospitality or service environment preferred
• Culinary arts experience preferred
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment
