Maschio's Food Services Inc. is seeking a dependable Cook/Food Service Manager to operate a small school food service program.

The ideal candidate enjoys cooking, takes pride in organization, and can manage all aspects independently to provide a positive, welcoming meal experience for students. Responsibilities include preparing meals to meet menus and USDA/NSLP requirements, maintaining records, managing inventory, and ensuring a clean, safe kitchen, while collaborating with school

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or food-service experience required. School food service experience a plus.
• Quantity food preparation experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred or willing to obtain.
• Basic computer/ POS skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch according to menus and USDA/NSLP requirements.
• Prepare quantities and ensure meals are served on schedule.
• Maintain meal counts, production records, temperature logs, and paperwork.
• Order, receive, organize, and maintain food and supply inventory.
• Operate the meal service/POS system as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary kitchen.
• Follow HACCP, USDA, and New Jersey requirements.
• Communicate with school Administration and Management team.
• Provide a friendly, professional, and welcoming experience for students.
