Job summary

The Nutrition Group has an open Cook position at a local K-12 School Cafeteria in the United States. You will cook, prepare meals, and ensure sanitation while following HACCP guidelines. You will place food orders and assist with inventory under the Kitchen Manager’s guidance.

The role requires food service experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to read recipes and perform basic math. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6am to 1:30pm with no evenings or weekends; PTO, 401(k), and

Qualifications

• Food service experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to do basic math and read recipes.
• Must obtain clearances and pass criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Cooking and food preparation with sanitation.
• Place food orders and manage inventory.
• Adhere to HACCP and health department regulations.
• Control costs and maintain inventory records.
• Accurate accounting practices for meals served.
• Communicate with school district officials.
• Assist Kitchen Manager with orders and inventory.
• Perform minor janitorial duties.
