Harmony Senior Services is hiring a Cook to prepare meals for residents, following approved menus and recipes while considering dietary needs. The cook will supervise staff when the Dining Services Director is unavailable and ensure the kitchen runs smoothly during all shifts.

Requirements include dining services experience, Serv-Safe certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days), and the ability to read, write, and calculate.

Qualifications

• Experience in dining services is required.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Familiarity with sanitation and safety principles in handling food and equipment.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and present menu items according to standard recipes.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and kitchen.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of Dining Services Director.
• Record food temperatures three times daily.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• Ensure kitchen is ready for meal service and handle substitutions with approval.
