Qualifications

• 1 year of cooking experience in commercial kitchen or restaurant environment.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• Punctual and reliable with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with health regulations and addresses non-compliance with corrective actions.
• Prepares and serves food following safe handling practices and reports violations.
• Receives and stores food donations with accurate inventory documentation.
• Plans menus that respect nutrition, apportionments, and budgets.
• Trains kitchen staff and monitors performance according to guidelines.
• Maintains sanitary conditions and cleans areas and equipment.
• Keeps records and statistics for kitchen operations.
• Maintains inventory levels and reduces waste; reports shortages.
• Works independently to ensure efficient daily kitchen operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
