Job summary

Cascade Senior Care Center in Jackson, MI is hiring a part-time Cook to join their EPIC team. You will prepare meals, coordinate production with serving times, and ensure quality, temperature and presentation. No late nights and day shifts support a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following guidelines and regulations.

• Assist with tray line setup and plate assembly.
• Assist with daily kitchen cleaning duties.

Our Cooksprepare amazing and nourishing meals for our guests and ensure the highest quality standards of food service and the best culinary experience is provided at all times. They work closely with the Executive Chef to create and review menus, prepare food, and ensure the meals are prepared in accordance with established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies and procedures.You will earn:

• Starting wages $17.00 per hour.
• Yearly Wage Increases

We can work with your scheduling needs:

• Part Time position with rotating weekends and some holidays

How you will help people every day:

• You will prepare meals following all necessary guidelines and regulations
• You will coordinate food production to coincide with meal serving times ensuring excellence in quality, temperature and appearance are achieved
• You may assist with tray line setup and plate assembly
• You will assist with daily cleaning requirements in the kitchen

What you will need to be part of ourEPICteam:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Computer Skills
• At least 2 years of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility, with strong knowledge of food procedures. Experience in a Long Term Care facility is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!
