Job summary

Cascade Senior Care Center in Michigan is seeking a part-time cook to prepare meals aligned with menus and quality standards, working with our Executive Chef to ensure timely, appealing, and safe dining experiences for guests and their families.

You will earn $17.85 per hour at start, plus Hero Pay and annual wage increases; a comprehensive benefits package includes tuition reimbursement, medical with no deductible, PTO, dental & vision, life insurance, 401k with match, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• At least 2 years of related food experience; supervisory preferred.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following guidelines and regulations.
• Coordinate food production with serving times, maintaining quality and appearance.
• Assist with tray line setup and plate assembly.

Our Cooks prepare amazing and nourishing meals for our guests and ensure the highest quality standards of food service and the best culinary experience is provided at all times. They work closely with the Executive Chef to create and review menus, prepare food, and ensure the meals are prepared in accordance with established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies and procedures.

You will earn: Starting $17.85 per hour!!

• Starting wages $17.00 per hour

How You Will Help People Every Day

• You will prepare meals following all necessary guidelines and regulations
• You will coordinate food production to coincide with meal serving times ensuring excellence in quality, temperature and appearance are achieved
• You may assist with tray line setup and plate assembly
• You will assist with daily cleaning requirements in the kitchen

What you will need to be part of our EPIC team:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Computer Skills
• At least 2 years of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility, with strong knowledge of food procedures. Experience in a Long Term Care facility is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!
