Job summary

NexCare Health is hiring in Dimondale, MI for a kitchen support role that prepares meals for residents and oversees service excellence. You will work with the Dietary Director to review menus, ensure sanitary standards, and deliver high-quality meals across all shifts.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 2 years of related food experience, and a strong commitment to customer service. Training and union-friendly benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

We can work with your scheduling needs:

• All shifts include rotating weekends and some holidays
• Day Schedule: 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM
• Afternoon Schedule: 12:00 - 8:30 PM
• Full Time and Part Time positions available
• No late nights!

How you will help people every day:

• You will coordinate food production for up to 100+ guests to coincide with meal serving times ensuring excellence in quality, temperature and appearance are achieved
• You will prepare meals following all necessary guidelines and regulations
• You may assist with tray line setup and plate assembly
• You will assist with daily cleaning requirements in the kitchen
• You will promote hospitality and excellent customer service in our every daily interaction with our guests, their families, and visitors. Through kind words and encouragement, you will promote a positive, healthy environment in which to heal and thrive.

What you will need to be part of ourEPICteam:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Computer Skills
• At least 2 years of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility, with strong knowledge of food procedures. Experience in a Long Term Care facility is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!
