Job summary

Vi at Aventura is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team in sunny Florida. You will assist in preparing a variety of meals while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and following recipe cards.

The role involves receiving and stocking deliveries and helping maintain inventory and quality standards. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of line cooking experience in a high-quality restaurant or similar setting, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain a Food Handler certificate.

Qualifications

• 1 year basic line cooking experience in a high quality restaurant, country club, hotel or senior living is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Food Handler certification, as required, may be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Cook and assist in preparing all types of food while keeping a safe, clean and sanitary area.
• Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries and rotate stock; help kitchen staff as needed.

Responsibilities

Cook

Assist in preparing all types of food while maintaining a safe, clean and sanitary work area. You will also assist with receiving and stocking deliveries using proper rotational practices. May assist kitchen attendant as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualified applicants will preferably possess 1 year basic line cooking experience within a high quality restaurant, country club, hotel or senior living company.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Possess or be willing and to obtain Food Handler certificate, as required.
• Must possess a valid and valid driver's license, where applicable.

Additional Requirements Include

• Basic knowledge in all facets of kitchen work.
• Keen eye for details.
• Ability to follow recipe cards accurately and use a Point of Sale (POS) system
