Job summary

Vi Living is seeking a Cook for Vi at Lakeside Village in Florida. The role involves preparing all types of food while keeping a safe, clean work area and assisting with deliveries using proper rotation. Shifts run 12:00pm to 8:30pm, five days per week with weekend availability.

Florida Care Provider Background Screening applies, and a valid driver’s license may be required. Qualified candidates typically have 1 year of line cooking experience in quality dining settings.

Qualifications

• 1 year basic line cooking experience in a high quality restaurant, country club, hotel or senior living company.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess or obtain Food Handler certificate as required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries using proper rotational practices.

Responsibilities

Cook

Assist in preparing all types of food while maintaining a safe, clean and sanitary work area. You will also assist with receiving and stocking deliveries using proper rotational practices. May assist kitchen attendant as needed.

Shift Hours: 12:00pm - 8:30pm

5 Days Per Week - weekend availability

Qualifications

• Qualified applicants will preferably possess 1 year basic line cooking experience within a high quality restaurant, country club, hotel or senior living company.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Possess or be willing and to obtain Food Handler certificate, as required.
• Must possess a valid and valid driver's license, where applicable.

Additional requirements include:

• Basic knowledge in all facets of kitchen work.
• Keen eye for details.
• Ability to follow recipe cards accurately and use a Point of Sale (POS) system
