Job summary

Loews Philadelphia Hotel is hiring a Cook to join our upscale kitchen team in a high-volume setting. You will set up the station, receive and rotate ingredients, and follow standardized recipes to prepare quality menu items.

We require a High School Diploma or equivalent and post-secondary culinary training or Cook certification, with nutrition and sanitation standards as a priority. The role supports teamwork and flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Post secondary culinary training or Cook certification expected.
• Thorough knowledge of Food Service Sanitation Standards.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and organizes work area with all necessary supplies and equipment.
• Receives, inspects and rotates all food products to ensure quality.
• Follows standardized recipes in preparation and cooking of menu items.
• Adheres to portion control guidelines and minimizes waste.
• Monitors finished product and services to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards in line with government guidelines.
