Job summary

Loews Hotels & Co at Universal Orlando is seeking a skilled cook to join our award-winning kitchen team. In a high-volume, upscale hotel setting, you’ll help deliver exceptional guest dining experiences while upholding the highest culinary standards.

The role requires 3–5 years of cooking experience, culinary training, thorough knowledge of Food Service Sanitation Standards, and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of cooking experience in upscale, high-volume hotel or restaurant preferred.
• Culinary experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of Food Service Sanitation Standards required.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Excellent Guest Service skills required.
• English communication with team and guests required.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of Food Service Sanitation Standards.
• Stand, stoop, bend; lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of standard kitchen equipment and its use, such as fryer, grill, sauté and broiler.
• Follows standardized recipes in the preparation and cooking of menu items
• Uses knives, slicers, mixers, choppers, grinders and all other equipment in a safe manner according to the manufacture's recommendations.
• Other duties as assigned.
