Position Summary

The Cook II will accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for various meal periods, including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events. Responsibilities may vary based on business needs and client requirements.

Compensation and Schedule

Hourly Rate: $20.00

Schedule: One weekend a month

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow all regulations, directives, standards, and instructions issued by the Air Force or organization.
• Prepare short-order foods such as hamburgers, salads, eggs, steaks, and related items.
• Prepare large quantities of various food items and instruct Cook I staff as needed.
• Operate grill during meal periods.
• Use classical cooking techniques to produce batch goods.
• Ensure food quality and quantity meet standards.
• Maintain compliance with menus and recipes.
• Manage food storage, leftovers, and serving line setup.
• Supervise and instruct subordinate cooks and servers.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper food safety procedures.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and security procedures.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to safety policies.
