Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook II to join the kitchen in Louisville, Kentucky. The role focuses on preparing food items per recipes and standards, while supporting the team in a fast-paced hotel kitchen environment.

The Cook II must follow safety and sanitation guidelines, demonstrate knowledge of cooking techniques, and contribute to a culture of teamwork and guest satisfaction. This position requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Previous prep or line cook experience required.
• Must have basic knowledge of production and operations in all relevant kitchen areas.
• Must be familiar with proper use and cleaning of relevant kitchen equipment and machinery.
• Basic knowledge of soups, stocks and sauces required.
• Must have proficient knowledge of sautéing, culling, broiling, poaching, boiling, steaming and braising.

Responsibilities

• The Cook II prepares food items in line with recipes and standards.
• Supports team and operates in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Maintains safety, sanitation and cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Follows recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications set by the company.
• Assists with cross-training and other duties as needed.
• Ensures guest requests are handled professionally and promptly.
