Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a Cook II for the 1st shift to prepare and cook meals for patients, cafeteria, and events following standardized recipes and safety standards.

You will mentor Cook I staff, operate kitchen equipment safely, and ensure quality presentation while maintaining HACCP compliance and high sanitation standards. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• ServeSafe Foodservice Handlers or Local Health Department Certification
• Must complete Rouxbe Culinary Training course within 6 months
• 2 year Culinary Degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks food according to standardized recipes, production schedules, and plating standards while ensuring quality and consistency.
• Applies proper cooking techniques, measurements, and presentation methods for meals and events.
• Follows HACCP, food safety, sanitation, storage, and temperature control procedures to maintain a safe food environment.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Mentors Cook I team members and supports staff development while providing positive customer interactions in service areas.
