Job summary

TRDI is seeking a Cook I to prepare a variety of hot and cold foods for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and special events at Randolph AFB. You will follow production logs, ensure food quality, maintain temperatures, and support the kitchen team under a shift leader.

A flexible weekend/evening schedule and comprehensive benefits are provided. Ideal candidates have commercial cooking experience, a ServSafe certification, and proficiency with MS Office for inventory and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have commercial cooking experience.
• Must Have ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
• Must be able to work a Flexible Work Schedule.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
• High school education or GED.
• Culinary degree preferred.
• 1 year relevant work experience in a commercial kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Cook to order hamburgers, sandwiches, eggs and other items for breakfast, lunch, dinner and events.
• Follow production log and supervisor directions.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and log refrigerator temps.
• Ensure sanitation and safety compliance per HACCP and SOPs.
• Assist Cook II and other kitchen staff as needed.
• Prepare, garnish and present food items with accuracy and speed.
• Monitor stock, restock subsistence and communicate shortages to supervisor.
• Close and secure kitchen area, dispose of leftovers, and maintain cleanliness.
