Job summary

TRDI is seeking a Cook I at Randolph Air Force Base to prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold items across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events. You will follow production logs, maintain sanitation and food safety standards, and support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings, with benefits including medical, vision, dental, PTO, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to effectively delegate and develop team members.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure.
• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
• Must have commercial cooking experience.
• Must Have ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
• Must be able to Work a Flexible Work Schedule.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Will comply with all regulations and directives issued by the air force or TRDI.
• Cook to order hamburgers, cheeseburgers, salads, eggs and other items; assist Cook II.
• Prepare items per production log and shift leader directions.
• Wash, peel, chop, dice and slice fruits, meats, and vegetables per recipes.
• Set up specialty bars as required (potato, pasta, fruit, omelet, hamburger).
• Work grill during meal periods and garnish serving lines.
• Check and log refrigerator temperatures; ensure proper dating and sanitation.
• Ensure food is prepared on time and served in correct portions.
• Adhere to HACCP policies and safety procedures.
• Attend safety trainings and comply with energy conservation policies.
