Sodexo is hiring a Cook I at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham. This full-time role covers weekday morning and afternoon/evening shifts, with details provided during the interview process.

Working in a fast-paced kitchen, you will help deliver high-quality meals to students and staff. You will prepare, portion, cook and present hot and cold items for all meal periods, follow basic recipes, and maintain a clean, safe workstation.

Formación

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable standards and regulations to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, cooking, and serving foods.
• Estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to plan production.
• Significant walking or other mobility; stand for extended periods.
• Other duties may be assigned based on account needs.
