Kewadin Casinos in Michigan seeks a Cook I to prepare and cook a variety of foods for the buffet and banquets. You will assist with high-volume prep, maintain buffet quality, and ensure food is safely stored and presented.

Responsibilities include daily prep coordination, frequent temperature checks, and maintaining clean, welcoming service areas while providing courteous customer service to guests and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in high-volume food and beverage prep preferred.
• Sanitation certificate required within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Maintain consistent, attractive presentation through portion control and recipe adherence.
• Prepare and coordinate daily prep list with Cook III/Managers.
• Keep workstation clean and stocked for next shift.
• Prepare sauces and prep items (cocktail sauce, tarter sauce, horseradish, lemons).
• Monitor temperatures hourly and log results.
• Work with cooks to monitor buffet stock and keep area neat.
• Carve roasted meat nightly on buffet.
• Date, label, and store products; maintain sanitation.
• Follow safety and hospitality standards.
• Operate POS system.
