Job summary

The Cook I position at Kewadin Casinos involves preparing and cooking all food items in a high-volume environment, including buffet offerings, banquets, and employee meals, with emphasis on timely delivery and recipe accuracy.

He/she will manage portions, monitor temperatures, and work with the kitchen team to keep the buffet appealing and well stocked while delivering friendly, professional service to guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Experience with previous food and beverage preparation in a high-volume operation is preferred.
• Sanitation: Sanitation Certificate required within 6 months of hire; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all food items in a timely fashion according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain consistent presentation through portion control and garnishes.
• Monitor temperatures, logs, and food safety throughout the shift.
• Assist with buffet prep, restock, and keeping area clean and sanitary.
• Provide attentive, cheerful, and professional customer service to guests and staff.
