Job summary

Kewadin Casinos is seeking a Cook I to assist in preparing and cooking a variety of food products for the buffet, banquets and daily service. You will work under the direction of more senior cooks to ensure timely, high-quality meals and maintain clean, safe workspaces.

The role involves heavy lifting, standing for long periods, and working nights, weekends and holidays as needed. A high school diploma and sanitation training are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food and beverage preparation in a high-volume operation preferred.
• Sanitation Certificate required within 6 months of hire; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain attractive product presentation through portion control and adherence to recipe standards.
• Prepare and replenish prep for the day and following shift; coordinate with management.
• Operate a POS system and assist with banquet and buffet service.
• Keep buffet area clean, cook/fill/replenish items, and monitor temperatures.
• Date, label, and store products in a sanitary manner.
