Job summary

WesleyLife invites you to join Fieldstone of DeWitt as a Cook/Homemaker, supporting residents with nutritious, well-prepared meals in a warm, respectful environment.

You'll work with culinary leaders to execute chef-approved recipes, tailor meals to modified diets, and ensure high standards of portion control and sanitation in a busy kitchen setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year cooking experience
• Experience with quantity cooking and modified diet preferred
• Culinary education preferred

About the Role: Cook/Homemaker

As a Cook, you’ll play a key role in supporting the health, happiness, and daily experience of the residents at Fieldstone of DeWitt.

As a Cook/Homemaker, You Will

• Create Delicious Meals: Prepare a variety of hot and cold dishes daily using chef-approved recipes that highlight your culinary skills.
• Work Alongside Culinary Leaders: Collaborate with Chefs and Culinary Directors while gaining hands‑on experience in a professional kitchen.
• Support Specialized Diets: Help craft meals that meet modified diet plans, making a real difference in guests' health and satisfaction.
• Maintain High Standards: Monitor food quality, manage portions, and act quickly to ensure every plate meets our service excellence.
• Practice Smart & Clean Cooking: Follow proper sanitation and waste control practices, contributing to a safe, efficient, and sustainable kitchen.

Opening

• As needed first (6AM-2:30PM)
• or second shift (3:30PM-7:30PM)

Qualifications

• Culinary education preferred
• Minimum one year cooking experience
• Experience with quantity cooking and modified diet preferred
