WesleyLife’s Hearthstone facility in Pella, IA, is hiring a Cook to support the health, happiness, and daily experience of residents. You will prepare hot and cold dishes, work with culinary leaders, and help meet modified diet needs, while maintaining high sanitation and portion controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year cooking experience.
• Experience with quantity cooking and modified diet preferred.
• Culinary education preferred.

• Create Delicious Meals: Prepare a variety of hot and cold dishes daily using chef-approved recipes that highlight your culinary skills.
• Work Alongside Culinary Leaders: Collaborate with Chefs and Food & Beverage Directors while gaining hands-on experience in a professional kitchen.
• Support Specialized Diets: Help craft meals that meet modified diet plans, making a real difference in guests' health and satisfaction.
• Maintain High Standards: Monitor food quality, manage portions, and act quickly to ensure every plate meets our service excellence.
• Practice Smart & Clean Cooking: Follow proper sanitation and waste control practices, contributing to a safe, efficient, and sustainable kitchen.

As a Cook, You Will

• Create Delicious Meals: Prepare a variety of hot and cold dishes daily using chef-approved recipes that highlight your culinary skills.
• Work Alongside Culinary Leaders: Collaborate with Chefs and Food & Beverage Directors while gaining hands‑on experience in a professional kitchen.
