Job summary

WesleyLife's Fieldstone of DeWitt in DeWitt, IA, is hiring a Cook/Homemaker to support residents' health and daily dining. You’ll prepare hot and cold dishes, follow chef-approved recipes, and collaborate with culinary leaders in a professional kitchen.

Opening shifts are 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 3:30 PM–7:30 PM. The role offers competitive hourly pay ($16.92–$24.85), DailyPay, flexible scheduling, benefits after 30 days, and opportunities for growth within a compassionate senior living community.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year cooking experience.
• Experience with quantity cooking and modified diets preferred.
• Culinary education preferred.

About the Role: Cook/Homemaker

As a Cook, you’ll play a key role in supporting the health, happiness, and daily experience of the residents at Fieldstone of DeWitt.

As a Cook/Homemaker, you will:

• Create Delicious Meals: Prepare a variety of hot and cold dishes daily using chef-approved recipes that highlight your culinary skills.
• Work Alongside Culinary Leaders: Collaborate with Chefs and Culinary Directors while gaining hands-on experience in a professional kitchen.
• Support Specialized Diets: Help craft meals that meet modified diet plans, making a real difference in guests' health and satisfaction.
• Maintain High Standards: Monitor food quality, manage portions, and act quickly to ensure every plate meets our service excellence.
• Practice Smart & Clean Cooking: Follow proper sanitation and waste control practices, contributing to a safe, efficient, and sustainable kitchen.

Opening:

• As needed first (6AM-2:30PM) or second shift (3:30PM-7:30PM)

Qualifications:

• Culinary education preferred
• Minimum one year cooking experience
• Experience with quantity cooking and modified diet preferred
